Brightwater Lagoon is looking for an exceptional person to bring events to life.  This person will coordinate all aspects of onsite activities that are hosted for our residents and guests.  This is a full-time, hourly position with benefits and many perks!

Job Summary:

The Guest Experience Ambassador is responsible for executing strategic partnership and event initiatives at their designated lagoon location. This person ensures successful on-site implementation of events, partnerships, and related activities while delivering exceptional guest experiences. 

This role also includes serving as an emcee for events, leading guest activities, and acting as a "Funbassador" to ensure guests are entertained throughout their visit.

Responsibilities Include:

1. Event and Partnership Execution

  • Coordinate on-site presence for partnerships and events, including:
    • Managing digital and printed signage
    • Overseeing MetroLagoons radio programming and similar initiatives
  • Serve as the on-site point of contact for event setup, logistics, and execution to ensure smooth operations
  • Provide feedback and updates to the Corporate Events team regarding on-site activities and partnership performance

2. Guest Engagement and Entertainment

  • Act as an emcee for events such as Trivia, Karaoke, Bingo, and similar activities to enhance guest participation and enjoyment
  • Lead Kid’s Activities and other planned or pop-up events, ensuring a fun, engaging, and family-friendly atmosphere
  • Serve as a "Funbassador," interacting with guests and maintaining energy and enthusiasm throughout the day to elevate the guest experience

3. Contracts and Partner Coordination

  • Manage contracts with 3rd party contractors and business partners, ensuring compliance with terms and alignment with event objectives
  • Schedule and oversee 3rd party contractors and business partners to ensure proper coverage for events and activities
  • Reconcile activities, payments, and operational metrics of 3rd party contractors to ensure accuracy and accountability

4. Monthly SP&E Calendar

  • Collaborate with the Corporate SP&GE Coordinator to implement the monthly SP&GE calendar for the lagoon
  • Ensure all events and partnership activities are executed in alignment with the calendar and MetroLagoons standards

5. Budget and Resource Oversight

  • Assist in monitoring on-site SP&GE labor and operational expenses (OPEX) to ensure adherence to approved budgets
  • Provide accurate reporting on on-site spending, 3rd party contractor activities, and resource allocation

6. Team Collaboration and Leadership

  • Work closely with the local lagoon team to align on event logistics and guest experience goals
  • Support and guide team members involved in SP&GE activities to ensure consistency and professionalism

7. Communication and Reporting

  • Maintain regular communication with the Strategic Partnership & Events Team
  • Compile post-event reports, including successes, challenges, and recommendations for improvement

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, or a related field preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in digital marketing and advertising
  • 1+ years of experience in event coordination or a related field
  • Hospitality or customer service experience preferred
  • Experience as a host, emcee, or similar role is a plus
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Excellent communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to engage and entertain diverse audiences, including families and children

Schedule: 

The schedule for this position is primarily Wednesday through Sunday, with typical working hours from late morning to early evening. Some evening events may require extended hours based on event needs. 

The role also includes providing on-site coverage for SP&E Coordinator absences, vacations, or additional events as necessary.

Location: 

This position is located on-site at a MetroLagoons location and involves daily interaction with the lagoon's team and guests.
